Welcome to Mountain View Country Club
Mountain View's nine-hole, "links style" golf course and seven clay tennis courts are typically ready for use by mid-May – no matter how harsh the winter has been – and are playable through foliage season each year. Informality and easy access to courts and course are hallmarks of the Mountain View experience, but the club also provides lessons and clinics in both golf and tennis, hosts a men's and ladies' day in tennis and golf each week, and organizes weekly, youth-focused activities.A family club, Mountain View encourages members to participate in Monday night bridge games in the club house and to gather for picnics on Memorial Day, on the Fourth of July, and on Labor Day weekend. Mountain View also sponsors a club-wide golf tournament and picnic on Founders' Day (MVCC is one of the oldest clubs in Vermont) and welcomes the opportunity to support events of interest to the wider community such as each June's Hazen Union scholarship fund-raising tournament in golf and tennis. In addition, Mountain View offers members a wide variety of tournament opportunities: July and August handicaps and a club championship in golf and singles and doubles tournaments in tennis, which include opportunities for juniors and for seniors (those over sixty) and features parent-child competitions, as well. Mountain View also sponsors occasional inter-club competitions, such as the "Lesser Greensboro Ladies Golf Tournament" (a twenty-five year tradition), and weekend tennis round robin "play days," in addition to hosting a Tuesday night men's league for golfers from Greensboro and Hardwick and surrounding towns.
